Let me see wht news is there to tell.....We went to the zoo last week and I have a cute pic of NED with a lowland gorilla. We got our Ralphbucks in the mail yesterday. For those who don't live in Alberta its a free one time only prosperity cheque of $400 for every man woman or child living in Alberta. So our family of 3 recieved a grand total of $1200, huzzah!

Baby in a snowsuit, how precious

Wow is January flying by for the rest of you? because we have been so busy! Natalie is napping in her snowsuit and is cute as a button. The pooh bear suit is too big on her even though it says 6 months and she can fit into lots of other 6 month outfits. She also has this knit hat that we recieved as a gift from the hospital when she was born. The hat will often slip down over her eyes. This seems to annoy her greatly if she is awake but does look quite amusing while she is sleeping (pictured above).
We bought her an almost new highchair from the bargain finder and she has made quite a sport of sitting there and watching me cook. I think she likes the view from up high as compared to the lower vantage point from her vibrating chair.
Tommorrow she gets her first tase of democracy as I plan to go for a walk with her to the local polling station. Take care all and I hope you get out and vote, and hope that we don't have to do it again in 18 months time (unless you really really want to).

I bought a new camera!

OK I searched high and low for my camera and I cound not find one anywhere, so I splurged and bought a new camera. here are some of the first ever pics from the new camera. As you can see Natalie is very shocked and suprised at the mere sight of the camera. I have been tryign for some time now to get a picture of her smiling but as soon as I bring the camera out her smiles fade into apprehension and by the time I snap the picture she has a look of indescribable awe on her face.

She was asleep when I started setting up this blog entry (actually I just snapped the pic of her sleeping on the yellow pillow) but now she is awake and grumpy so I have to go do that mommy thing. Ciao.

oh my god I lost my camera

Ok so it may be a while before any new pictures appear as I cannot find my camera. I have enlisted others to the search but so far no Sony Cybershot in sight gaaaa. Its so infuriating because she makes all these cute faces that I want to capture and I look around helplessly for a camera. Oh well todays post will consist strictly of words and my topic is new years resolutions. I know people say they never make resolutions and that may be true but everybody has things about themselves or habits that they would like to change and January is usually a time of reflection and I have come up with a few myself so here they are in no particular order:

1) find camera (obviously)
2) save more money and stop spending money on things that while they look nice are not really essential
3) eat more antioxidents and probiotic foods (can't hurt)
4) practice birth control (I love Natalie but I am so not realy to do it again in 2006 or 2007 for that matter and yes ONCE is enough!)
5) organize my wedding photos or actually print some off instead of storing them on various CDs in my office
6) Do more Yoga and Pilates
7) Keep up with my correspondences
8) Stop buying baby stuff brand new and get it from the bargain finder
9) get up earlier and go to bed earlier and stop napping in the afternoon (I seriously used to be a morning person but my circadian rythym has been off since I stopped working)
10) read more books and read more to Natalie
11) Remove nail polish promptly before it starts chipping away because that just looks bad, really bad
12) make lunch for Chris more often
13) when I buy chocolate chips I will use them for baking instead of just eating them out of the bag (oh who am I kidding)
14) Cut down on the fizzy drinks

Well thats all for now she has awoken and is in need of some cuddles so take care and let me know if you find my camera

2006 is shaping up to be a pretty good year

With the holidays over and Chris back to work Natalie and I are starting to get back into our routine. We had her three month checkup yesterday and she is a model of baby health! She is in the 95th percentile for both hight and weight (24.5 inches and 14lbs 11ozs) way to grow baby. She is enjoying the jolly jumper that we Grandma Whelan got her for Christmas and she really loves her bath time. As I type this she is in her jolly jumper and she drools and bounces then drools a little more (I should really put a towel under her).
I had to buy her a new car seat because her little infant carrier car seat will soon be too small (once she hits 26 inches she will have outgrown it).
It is so beautiful outside and we are going for a stroll with Connor and his mommy, so take care and get out and enjoy this very un-january weather!
